Inspired by the works of E.M Forster, J.G. Ballard, Fritz Lange, George Orwell and others, writer/producer J.C. Pratt began unveiling The Machine Stops in 2016 Los Angeles. Post-punk electro-pop/rock fused with acoustic and electronic instruments, combine to form a debut album of determined anthems capable of filling arenas and dance-floors alike.

Respectful homage to an eclectic stable of familiar influence never overshadows new visions of the future. Nods to early British new wave, NIN, The Killers, Kraftwerk, and Depeche Mode (whose drummer, Christian Eigner, plays acoustic drums throughout the album) offers a dash of spice from classic recipes, for anyone looking for a new synth rock obsession.

Glen Alger Schricker (Circuits and Brains) who engineers and shares performance duties on all instruments with Pratt, also mixed the 10~9~8~7 album (an eclectic collection of covers). Sean Beavan (NIN, No Doubt) brings his trademark mixes to the eponymous debut album, while multiple Grammy award winning mastering engineer, Ted Jensen, adds the finishing touches.
